INOAC donates relief funds to aid cyclone recovery efforts in Sri Lanka
2026.03.03
On November 28, 2025, Cyclone Ditva made landfall in Sri Lanka, causing widespread flooding and landslides due to torrential rains and destructive winds. The damage extended across the entire country, affecting more than 2.3 million people.
As part of our support for recovery efforts in the affected areas, INOAC made a donation, and on February 20, 2026, a donation handover ceremony was held at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan. His Excellency Mr. Pivithuru Janaka Kumarasinghe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sri Lanka, expressed his gratitude, stating that "Japan was the earliest to provide substantial support, including dispatching medical teams and offering relief funds."

It was also an opportunity to introduce the historical connection between Sri Lanka and our company, as Sri Lanka was the first country where INOAC expanded its overseas operations.
