History

1926Established INOUE RUBBER CO., LTD. in Atsuta-ku Nagoya City Started production of inner tubes and tires for bicycles
1938Established INOUE RUBBER INDUSTORY CO., LTD. Started production of industrial rubber products (molding, extrusion)
1954Concluded technology support contract with Bayer AG in Germany and established MTP KASEI CO., LTD.
1955Started Japan’s first polyurethane foam production
1959Started Color Foam mattress sales
1960Automobile interior articles using polyurethane foam were first introduced in Japan
1980Established INOUE MTP CO., LTD. by merging the industrial rubber and plastic sections of INOUE RUBBER INDUSTORY CO., LTD. and MTP KASEI CO., LTD.
1990Renamed INOUE MTP CO., LTD. as INOAC CORPORATION
